Update
At the end of 1989, early 1990, in England an update of Hero Quest was published. The content of the box is equal, but there are some innovationes:
- Presence of two new equipment cards, the Cloak of protection and the Bracers, that replace one helmet card and one shield card
- Substitution of the quest “The maze” with the quest “The trial”
- Update of the rules of three spell cards: Courage, Sleep, Rock skin
- Various updates in the rules of play, between which:
1. Elimination of the donation of 500 gold coins for the character who becomes Champion
2. Elimination of the prohibition to cross the same square twice in the same turn
